These terms apply to your use of the website tindom.se, the web validator and the reports we send by email. The service is provided by Edström Business AB (org.nr 559101-7750), "Tindom" below. The terms apply together with our privacy policy and cookie policy. Pilot and customer agreements are also covered by our data processing agreement.
The service is aimed at businesses, organisations and professionals, not consumers. If you have a separate agreement with us, for example a pilot agreement, that agreement prevails over these terms where they differ.
By using the service you accept the terms. If you do so on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it.
Tindom checks electronically signed documents (PAdES, XAdES, CAdES and JAdES) independently of the platform that created the signature. The check is made against the EU trusted lists, third-country lists recognised under eIDAS, the Swiss and UK trusted lists and the Adobe Approved Trust List.
The result is expressed as a grade from A+ to F under the Document Trust Grade, with an explanation. The result states which version of the scale was used. The scale is published at documenttrustgrade.org.
A grade is a snapshot. The same document may receive a different grade later, for example when a certificate has expired or a trusted list has changed.
When using the service you undertake to:
We may suspend or restrict your use if you breach the terms or if needed to protect the service.
You keep all rights to the documents you upload. We may process them only temporarily to perform the validation. Documents are not stored once the answer has been sent. Which personal data we process, and how, is set out in the privacy policy.
You may use a report for your own matter, including submitting it as evidence to a counterparty, court or authority. You may not give the impression that a report was issued by a qualified trust service provider or that it has a legal effect it does not have.
The site’s texts, graphics, names, logos and software belong to Tindom or our licensors. The Document Trust Grade scale is published under its own licence terms at documenttrustgrade.org. These terms give you no right other than to use the service as intended.
The web validator is free and provided as is, with no guarantee of availability or freedom from errors. We may change, restrict or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, and may need to take it down temporarily for maintenance.
Tindom is not liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit, lost business, loss of data or consequential loss, nor for loss arising because you relied on a result without checking it yourself. A result should not be the only basis for decisions with major consequences.
Our liability for direct loss in connection with the free service is limited to one price base amount under the Swedish Social Insurance Code.
The limitations do not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence, nor to the extent the law does not allow liability to be limited.
Tindom is not liable for faults or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, for example outages at internet, hosting or email providers or in the trusted lists we check against.
We may update the terms. The latest version is always here, dated at the top, and applies from the time it is published. If you keep using the service afterwards, you accept the change. If it is a material change affecting an ongoing agreement with you, the agreement’s own rules on changes apply instead.
Swedish law governs the terms and the use of the service. Disputes will be settled by a Swedish general court.
